Our journey began with a beautiful shift

Ivy & Wren Photography began during a season of life that completely shifted how I saw time, connection, and the little in-between moments. After becoming a mum, everything slowed down in the most beautiful way — and I found myself wanting to hold onto the tiny details that pass so quickly. The way little hands reach for you, the quiet cuddles, the chaos and the calm all wrapped together.

Photography became more than just taking pictures, it became a way to preserve feeling. Not perfectly posed moments, but the real ones. The ones you’ll miss one day. I love nothing more than looking back at how small they once were. 

More than just photos, we capture feelings

What makes Ivy & Wren Photography different is my focus on feeling over perfection. Im not trying to create perfectly posed, “look at the camera and smile” images, im ooking for the quiet in-between moments, the connection, the way your child reaches for you, or how you naturally are together as a family.

My style is soft, light and timeless, but more importantly, it’s honest. I gently guide when needed, but never force moments. I may ask you to sit a certain esy, but then the moment is yours! That means your gallery reflects you — not a version of you that feels staged or uncomfortable.

I also understand how important it is to feel at ease, especially with little ones. Sessions are relaxed, unhurried, and built around your family, so nothing feels stressful or rushed. That’s often when the most meaningful images happen. When clients look at their photos, we want them to feel something, warmth, connection, maybe even a little ache of nostalgia. I want them to see the love, not just the image.

Capturing every unique story

What i love most is how different every story feels, even in the simplest moments.

With families, it’s the connection — the chaos, the laughter, the cuddles in between. We love capturing the moments that parents are usually in, not watching… the way your child looks at you, or how you instinctively reach for them.

With new babies, everything feels so quiet and fleeting. Those early days are such a blur, so we focus on the tiny details — curled-up fingers, sleepy stretches, being held close. It’s less about “perfect” newborn poses and more about preserving just how small and loved they are in that moment.

With couples, it’s all about the in-between — the way you naturally fall into each other, the smiles that aren’t forced, the little glances and touches that say everything without needing to pose.

Across all of it, the moments we aim to capture are the ones that feel real and a little bit unnoticed at the time — because those are the ones that mean the most later.

A warm, welcoming, and professional approach

If there’s one thing i'd want you to know before booking, it’s that i care far more about how your session feels than how it looks.

I know being in front of a camera can feel a bit daunting — especially with little ones, or if you don’t feel particularly “photogenic” -but you don’t need to be anything other than yourself with us. We’ll gently guide you where needed, but there’s no pressure to perform or pose perfectly. The best moments always come when you’re relaxed and just being together.

As a person, I’m calm, patient, and very aware of how quickly things can feel overwhelming (especially with young children involved). I’ll always work at your pace, go with the flow, and create a space where you feel comfortable and supported.

As a photographer, what matters most to me is capturing something honest. Not just images that look beautiful, but ones that mean something — photos that feel like you, that hold emotion, and that you’ll come back to years from now and still feel connected to.
